The Cleveland School of the Arts was established in 1981 as a unique and high-performing arts high school. While this started as a passion project, this educational model has evolved into a powerful arts high school. The Board of Trustees, previously known as Friends of CSA, serves the purposes to ensure high-quality arts education. Since 1982, the school has provided eight exciting visual and performing art majors, which is unique among Ohio public schools. The Trustees support this arts education model. The nonprofit operates independently and has an independent 501 (c)(3). It has a small Office of Philanthropy on-site, which is at the heart of its efforts. Create resources. This involves philanthropic support like the Annual Fund, corporate sponsorships and foundation grants. It also includes in-kind donations like pianos, art supplies, and choir robes. The goal is to close the gap between the per-pupil funding for arts education and a world-class artist education. Partnerships to Nurture The school has over 30 partners in the arts and education. These partnerships provide artists with everything they need, from private lessons to stages to perform on. The Cleveland Institute of Music and Cleveland Museum of Art partner with the school in perpetuity. New partners like the Glass Bubble Project and Cleveland Classical Guitar Society will further enrich the student experience, as they adapt to the changing educational and economic environments.
 
Students and visitors have only praise for the School of Arts, with the fantastic staff, welcoming, supportive culture, and exciting new Recording Arts program being hallmarks. The school has top-rated arts and academic programs as per reviews from eighth graders and higher classes that it appears as a heaven sent opportunity to attend, with many students eager to apply. Reviews signs of success and changes happen only when learners face challenges state that they are willing to grow and learn. Many students said they had not gotten perfect grades in their education but accepted the challenge and were ready to learn what they were there to. A significant number requested support to shift to another Class so that their dream could stick and they get awareness to do what they are best in. All these students who grade them as a strong player agreed that the school was the best and had lovely things to offer. The stem environment in the school is also associated with the review that encouraged many students to join because the states that those who do and become straight students and achievers.
