1. Final update-Cleveland Fire Water and Restoration were finally able to get a hold of State Farm. State Farm did not agree with the invoice. In the end, my husband and I have been forced to pay $1900 out of pocket for this. I do not believe that the lien was ever put against our home. But this one star review still remains one star because the invoice was never shown to us. This company told us that we wouldn't have to worry about paying anything out of pocket because they deal with insurance and deal with State Farm all the time. That's not true at all. We are paying $1900 out of pocket. It's our fault for not asking to see the invoice and asking how much this would cost beforehand and believing this company when they said that we wouldn't have to worry about anything because they only deal with insurance. They took advantage of our ignorance as new homeowners. If you take time to read this long review, please beware of this company. They are very misleading and predatory. And if they do offer services and claim that insurance will handle it, please ask to see the invoice first and don't believe them when they say that insurance will handle it. They are a Restoration Company and not insurance adjusters. I will also be writing a complaint on the Better Buisiness Bureau and be reporting them to the CFPB and Ohio Attorney General for misleading buisiness practices. 2. This review has been updated to 1 star. I do not recommend this company as they are extremely deceptive. They were very deceptive into making us believe that homeowners insurance would cover the repairs. The field supervisor stated that they deal with homeowners insurance all the time, including State Farm, and this shouldn't be an issue Unfortunately, State Farm (whom I do not recommend for homeowners insurance) has not been responsive to Cleveland Water and Fire Restoration for payment. As a result, Cleveland Water and Fire Restoration decided to place a lien on our property. For cleaning up our basement they wanted to charge $3600. I do not believe that they completed $3600 with of work. State Farm didn't agree with that either and agreed to pay them $1300. Cleveland Water and Fire Restoration are still threatening a lien against our home. My husband and I never saw the invoice till they threatened to put a lien against our property because State Farm had been unresponsive. We never saw the invoice because they said that they only deal with homeowners insurance. As new homeowners this was a valuable lesson. We should have asked how much would this cost if homeowners insurance doesn't pay for it instead of believing that they'll handle it. Do not listen to companies that say they deal with insurance to pay for things. They say these things to get your business and over charge you. My husband and I could have cleaned and sanitized our basement ourselves. The only reason we agreed to it was because the plumber, whom snaked our sewer line, sent this company over and said that insurance will handle it. Very deceptive company. Please do not believe then when they say insurance will cover it and the insured should have no issues. They will over charge you so please ask about the price and don't assume insurance will pay for it. It was a rookie mistake as new homeowners. And I'm writing this very long google review to help other new homeowners not be deceived by this company.
