ABOUT   Services Excellence Summary

Northwest School of the Arts was founded in 2004. Students from Edgewater, Cudell, and Detroit Shoreway's families have many school options. Our award-winning curriculum has revolutionized arts education. In our Arts Education program, students of all ages learn to appreciate visual, musical, and performance arts. Beginning in kindergarten, they take Art, Music, and Writing. Students in Grades 4+ can choose an Arts option for more advanced study. Students can also join clubs, sports, field trips, and other activities during the school year. Cognia(tm) is an accredited program that emphasizes project-based learning. We also support STEM, Black History, and Cultural Studies. Our small classes and passionate teachers create a dynamic environment (Northwest School of the Arts (NWSOTA), n.d.). Academic excellence and our student support services make us stand out.

SUMMARY   Reviews Summary

Most of the reviews depict heart-warming sentiments from students. They praised their teachers and the supportive staff. Various reviewers declared that they are awaiting the new school year with high anticipation. Several lamented the anticipated farewell to their many friends, a clear indication of how attached they are to their peers. Many students felt that they are leaving behind several heartbreaking memories. Some respondents seemed to give the school a positive outlook, arguing that all students ought to consider themselves advanced. Although the majority of the reviews seemed positive, a few revealed the psychological aspect of transitioning to another grade. Most parents feel that their kids are firmly rooted in the school's educational and social environment. In summary, the higher level of communication and engagement between the kids, teachers, and other academic staff members is a remarkable factor in making the school popular. However, most kids are still struggling to accept that their parents' graduation marks the end of their school life.
