Mayo's Printing, owned by Mark Mayo, was formerly Leimert Office Supply located at 4334 Crenshaw Blvd. Up to the Los Angeles Riot in May 1992, it was the largest African American-focused office supply store in Los Angeles, California. By actively advertising and taking advantage of The Los Angeles School District's affirmative action and supplier diversity policies, Leimert Office Supply could leverage its low-cost structure against Staples and Office Depot, the industry's giants. Leimert Office Supply was well-positioned for growth until it perished in the La Riot. Mark moved to Columbus, Ohio, where he currently owns and manages Mayo's Printing and Office Supply at 1316 Mt. Vernon Avenue. He continues to serve the African American community by participating in the City of Columbus and Columbus Public Schools' minority business opportunities. Mayo's Printing resolved to upgrade its customers' outlook by establishing Mayo's Printing and Multimedia Group in February 2006 to help Minority Business improve their operations, look professional, and promote, market, and advertise their businesses to enhance presentation and appeal (Mayo's Printing, 2019).
