Sears Heating & Cooling was founded in 1950 by Johnny Sears and Lillian Sears. The Sears established the company because they felt that Columbus needed a heating and cooling company that could maintain comfort during cold winters and cool in the summer heat. The current owners were established in 1989 and have continued to offer customer-focused, family-friendly services for over 72 years. We are very proud of our success and have been blessed with an A+ rating from the BBB and Angie's List. As a family-owned business, we are a smart and straight-shooting company that avoids selling products and services that you do not need. Our Google overall rating is 4.9 based on over 1500 reviews! We are an old company that is well versed in the latest technological advancements in our industry. This will provide you with comfort and reliability for your HVAC system.

AC customers appreciate the professionalism, punctuality, and rapport of Sears Heating and Cooling technicians. They extensively examine units and explain clearly, then fix and without testing. The same inspectors, like Austin for half-year checks, make many people repeat customers. The annual service is recommended, with many upgrades seen on older units. Technicians are efficient, knowledgeable and courteous. Customers feel that techs are honest, not pushing for unneeded repairs. One particular customer found out that the company, not a friend, uses a ductless system in an upstairs area only a year after the system was installed. The move improved their home's air conditioning and gave the customer the idea that the company truly cares about them. Praise the techs for being genuinely interested in customer satisfaction. Customers gladly make referrals. Two 2 AM calls about a broken AC were answered even if every tech went to fix an AC unit. Customers feel that their techs are gems.
