Reliable Star Jewelers moved from its Bexley location to the Short North Arts District in 2014. Explore the redesigned shop at 607 N. High St., Yukon Building! The Star Jewelers team is one-of-a-kind like any stone. Our story began with one poker game in Bolivia. Our founder, Dennis, won an emerald mine in a card game and his cousin gave him a bag of lovely emeralds. Star Jewelers was created. Dennis enrolled at the Gemological Institute of America, New York City. He was awarded the Graduate Gemologist certificate. Although Dennis imagined a career as the gemology equivalent of "Indiana Jones," he returned to Columbus, Ohio, with his girlfriend Elaine. Lazarus asked him to be a fine jewelry counter manager. Dennis and Elaine married in 1986. They had kids. They decided that Elaine and Dennis would be the perfect partnership to start and operate a Bexley jewelry shop. More than twenty years later, the family business decided to go back to its roots. We were grateful for the great relationships we had formed and the strong roots we put down in the Bexley community. We were also able to include our daughter, Rachel, to the mix, allowing us to grow into a larger space, an ideal location for our customers. The business's vision in its transformation from a small store shop to a well-located one was to keep the charm and local touch of our roots. All our clients are our most valuable assets.
