Keystone Canine Club

The Keystone Canine Club in Pittsburgh, PA, offers dog and puppy classes, focusing on basic obedience training. Free classes taught by instructors certified in Puppy STAR and CGC include puppy classes for dogs under a year old. Open classes include Family Manners on advanced and essential levels, Obedience, Agility, Rally, Scent Work, and Tricks. There are also pre-test classes for the Canine Good Citizen (CGC) and CGC Advanced, and Therapeutic Dogs International testing. In addition to these basics, we have a Community Outreach Program. Keystone has given demonstrations at senior citizen homes, nursing homes, daycare centers, community events, and gatherings. Local newspapers, cable TV, and the Wall Street Journal have all covered events and Keystone instructors. We even featured an instructor and her dog performing with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. Keystone Canine Club classes are free, as all instructors and officers are unpaid volunteers who offer their time to help the community.
