Blair Coiner launched his automotive business in 1929 and was a man of high ambitions, persistence, and determination. The nation was grappling with the Great Depression when the shop opened. When the company started, businesses were struggling to meet their expenses. Mr. Coiner started selling car parts to dealers, garages, and service stations. The Model T 1 ton truck was in use. This route ran from Winchester in Virginia and extended into North Carolina. This and days before there were many dealers and garages as we have them today. The dealer service provided by this Model T is of the highest quality at all times. In 1933, the company, then known as Coiner Parts, began offering “door to door” services using six specially-constructed trucks. These trucks were filled with hundreds of spare parts. The trucks also provided mobile machines shop services. The salesmen would travel routes that could keep them away for a full week. They would visit remote rural areas that were difficult to service. In 1941, the firm was employing 18 people. We had about 800 wholesale accounts. Even then, training and education was crucial to providing quality services. Buses were loaded with employees and customers for trips to the manufacturer’s facility for updated training. As a result, our employees and customers could maintain the high level of courtesy we were famous for. The company changed its name into Fisher Auto Parts in 1983. The company, known as Coiner Parts, had grown to include 60 locations and offered employment to around 300 people. The company’s C.E.O. at that time, Art Fisher, was committed to the same level of service that Mr. Coiner started in 1929. Our company’s founder always insisted on providing the best affordable automotive parts, and our company has maintained that standard. Ninety years later, Fisher Auto Parts is still a part of the automotive industry. Bo Fisher is the C.E.O. He was hired by his grandfather as an assistant at just 13 years of age and worked his way up the ranks. Bo Fisher, also known as our C.E.O., still helps in providing excellent service to all our professional installers. Mr. Coiner would always say that we will always strive to offer the highest quality automotive parts at the lowest prices (Fisher Auto Parts, 2022).
