Concorde Career College - Memphis was initially known as Control Data Institute. Hi-Tech Corp. purchased the school in 1985. The name was changed to Memphis Institute of Technology. On November 28, 1988, Concorde Career Colleges, Inc. acquired the school. In 1989, the school was rebranded as Concorde Career Institute. In 1990, the school added the Medical Assistant program. The Medical Office Professional program was introduced in 1991. The Dental Assisting Program was included in the curriculum in January 1995. The pharmacy technician training was launched in April 1997. In October 1998, the school expanded its programs with a Nurse Aide Training Program. In March 2000, the Respiratory Therapy Program was included, turning Concorde Career Institute into a comprehensive allied healthcare college.
