Since 2000, I've been working as a massage therapist here in Austin. For a BFA degree in Graphic Design and Photography, I attended the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth. After moving to Boston, I was looking for work in production and design. However, the cubicle lifestyle eventually drove me away. 1999 marked my first big move from Boston to Austin, Texas to attend The Lauterstein-Conway Massage School. I was also a certified massage instructor. After starting my Austin massage practice in a tiny studio in Clarkesville, it evolved into what I am today. From its inception in 2000, I served as the senior massage therapist of Mecca Gym and Spa. From its opening in 2000 to 2010, I was the senior massage therapist at Mecca Gym and Spa. I worked under both a Physical Therapist team as well as a Chiropractor where I learned how to treat acute conditions in a rehabilitation environment. A combination of different techniques is what I use, including Deep, Myofascial Releasing, Trigger Point Therapy, and Trigger Point Therapy. There is no one method that can solve all your problems. I try to incorporate the right techniques into each session and adapt them to suit your individual needs. Together we will find the most comfortable and effective pressure for you, no matter if it is a deep or light hand. To enhance the therapeutic benefits, I may use hot or cold pressure to reach restricted tissue.
