ISR Williamson County provides the safest survival swimming lessons available to Williamson County residents and surrounding regions. Infant Swimming Resource (ISR) has been established since 1966 and is the most trusted survival swimming lesson provider for infants and young children. Parents can trust their children will receive the best possible instruction with more than 50 years of experience in research, development, and certification. ISR Williamson County also provides the following services for children aged 6-12 months: ISR Self-Rescue® skill building. Infants 6-12 months old learn to hold their breath underwater, roll from a face-down to a face-up position, and float unassisted for at least 30 seconds. These babies are taught to hold their breath underwater, roll onto their backs, rest and breathe a survival float, and roll back over onto their stomachs to continue swimming until they reach the side of the pool and can crawl out.anning Deployment In ISR, we teach children from 6 months old to roll onto their backs when they feel water, float, and breathe on their own in case of accidental immersion. Although ISR has been designed to give children the skills they need to survive an accidental fall into a body of water, it is important to recognize that these skills do not make them "drown-proof." This is why ISR Williamson County emphasizes the importance of ongoing refresher lessons. For children to maintain their ISR Self-Rescue(TM) skills, they must receive refresher classes regularly. As children grow and develop, they grow from infants to toddlers to young children. They become stronger, more coordinated, and have improved cognitive abilities. Infants and young children who were previously ISR certified do not have the same skills as when they were 6 months old. These children must return to ISR for refresher lessons.
