I am originally from Corpus Christi. I graduated from W. B. Ray High School in 1987. I obtained an Associate's in Legal Assisting from Del Mar College in 1991. After five years working as a paralegal, I decided to go back to school and subsequently to law school. I graduated from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi with a bachelor's degree in 1999. In the spring of 2002, I was awarded a Juris Doctorate degree from St. Mary's University School of Law. In the fall of 2002, I passed the bar and was licensed as an attorney with Rios Law. Losing your freedom is a severe threat. Being charged with serious felonies that carry prison sentences can be very terrifying. Punishment that includes probation is both financially and emotionally draining for the defendants. Misdemeanors can affect a person's future or present plans. A plea of guilty can aggravate certain misdemeanors. A state prison felony can be prosecuted for a misdemeanor theft of less than $2500 with two prior convictions, regardless of the amount stolen. A charge of assault family violence can be prosecuted as a felony with a previous conviction. The story of a person who was sentenced to prison for a minor theft has been shared many times. Many times, a defendant pleads guilty in an instance of assault and family violence without understanding its repercussions.

The abovementioned feedback from the clients of criminal defense attorney Deborah Rios reflects that she is a dedicated professional and compassionate person. Many have described her as helping them through the legal process most of them and using words like angel to describe her level of dedication. Rios' service did not end at she was always available for queries and explained the legal jargon for better understanding. Several of the clients can be seen recommending Rios to their friends also and the clients' family if they require attorney services. Most of the clients have good experiences that they have encountered, whether it is being able to get off probation or getting an immediate court appearance. One of the clients got custody of his husband's daughters through Miss Rios' representation and empathy. As the best attorney whom I can recommend, she also worked with people who have a low income or who cannot afford legal representation to see that they get a fair chance.
