Dr. Joshika Kanabar

Dr. Kanabar has not been forthcoming regarding the mishaps with my quality of care. I have been giving concerning and alarming feedback for well over a year. Dr. Kanabar has not taken full accountability for the poor quality of care I have been receiving. Originally, I started treatment with Dr. Kanabar on 8/20/2020 for a quick fix that was only required to last for 10 months. And over-two years later the work that Dr. Kanabar has done has caused new and extensive damage to my oral health and my mental health. I have a twisted tooth, in the back, my teeth are now caved in on the bottom side, I have an elevated bite, jaw shifting, intense and severe pain. All of this has caused me to have trouble eating, talking and smiling. My jaw is extremely uncomfortable and has sharp pain consistently. I cannot smile because she has taken my smile from me by destroying the progress that was made with my years of ortho care as well as created new disasters for me to face alone. To have a smile that only needed little improvement to a smile that has been taken away has created a level of pain and suffering that is hard to wake up to everyday and deal with. Dr. Kanabar offered a refund if I would comply with her way of "fixing" the problems she created and there has been even more damage with her methods. From being misinformed from the start with being told I must remove my braces I had on my initial visit with Dr. Kanabar to my current undue hardship, a refund will not allow me to truly remedy what her work has done to me. I am mentally scarred from Dr. Kanabar's distratrous work and I have to live with the grave amount of stress and pain Dr. Kanabar has caused me. I was once an upbeat, positive, and optimistic person that smile often and unfortunately this poor quality of care from Dr. Kanabar has created an onset of excessive stress and depression that I would never wish on anyone. Not only has this compromised my mental health, I have also experienced financial and professional hardships by stepping away from work excessively for additional appointments seeking medical attention for a disaster Dr. Kanabar created. Not only do I need a long term solution to repair what is left of the smile I can potentially gain, I need more than a mere refund to financially cover the new treatment I require. I've been to multiple consultations with other orthodontist recently to see if they can fix what's been destroyed and I was quoted $6k for new treatment. I asked if I could be refunded the difference from what I would now how to pay to only be dismissed and told NO! 2 1/2 years of wasted time with no accountability and more money I will have to dish out of pocket due to her negligence. For Dr. Kanabar to think a refund is the way to satisfy everything that has been imploding upon my life is a true insult and speaks to her lack of care and lack of accountability.
