Gerald Cardenas has passed on his expertise to his son. At Silverman Jewelers in El Paso, the Cardenas brothers first showcased their abilities. It was here that they began to think that they would begin a business of their own once the establishment closed. CBC Fine Jewelers dubbed the Cardenas brothers as the subcontracting jeweler.
