However, in 2004, Dr. Menendez migrated to the United States, where she enrolled at Indiana University, where she completed a fellowship in Surgical Orthodontics and Craniofacial Dentistry. Furthermore, she received a Master's and a Specialty Certificate in Orthodontics in the University of Oklahoma in the same year.
Dr. Menendez and her husband Rafael chose to settle in El Paso, Texas, where she continued to practice as a private orthodontist. Dr. Menendez founded Smiles Orthodontics in 2012 with the vision of giving back to her community by improving their smiles.
