I gave so many great reviews of every location I visited, and I place her in the Legends of Fort Worth. I had an issue with Chris the LVN at the location for having her medicine incorrect several times and I was trying to explain it's too much medicine and not all her pills where there. It was too much medicine. I understand all medicine must be on the forms, I have no issue with that, but it's the manner in which it was explained to me. I had the doctor fax over the documents 3 times to his specification. I asked do we need to put aspirin on there? He said, Yes, so I contacted the doctor again and when he asked for the medicine that we just put on the list, he was very unprofessional with me. I told him, I haven't moved from your sight. I felt so overwhelmed. I asked to speak with Corporate, but spoke with Andrea. She said it will be better. Well it is not. I told them I did not want to speak to Chris again, because I am not used to people speaking to me so unprofessional when it comes to my mom's meds and her life.
We had to drive 120 miles on her first day to get her meds, because they couldn't give them out. I understand they were not on the list, but I asked to let me know as soon as the doctor report comes out, so I can see if anything is missing. That never happened.
Yesterday she slide out of a chair onto the floor. Then I had her at Bingo and after Bingo they brought her to me with a huge bruise under her chin. I mean huge. No one knew anything.
Today, they gave her BBQ and the sauce was too sweet and it threw her blood sugar well over 230 and she was out it. A med tech was trying to help and my mom scratched her and we apologized, but explained the sugar was too much in the sauce.
My mom started walking and her sugar became better and she calmed down.
I stressed several times, to watch my mom's blood sugar. If it gets to 53 or up too high we need to make sure we get her insulin when needed.
It's also on the report to check it.
So tonight they said, my mom could not return. I told them I will take her to the doctor myself on Monday. I will stay there and care until they open. They said she will need to leave tonight at 7:00 pm for an evaluation. Now, she has already clamed down from walking, why leave tonight and if she's had her meds, what kind of evaluation would she get if her meds make her sleepy.
I paid over $7,000 and $2,000 to move her in there and we get no consideration. She can't have too much sugar, especially in something she never had.
I told them you have all her items, her bed, etc. Where is she suppose to go tonight? She doesn't need to stay in the hospital until Monday.
I need corporate to call me asap. I am also going to file a complaint with the State of Texas. You can't throw people out at night and expect them to be able to get evaluated after they had meds or it's late.
The review a week ago was correct. There's no buddy system. They haven't completed an evaluation on my mom. They told me on Saturday I need a TB text and we were driving on Sunday 6.5 hours with movers. How can I get a TB test that quickly. I had to get a check xray and it took 2 days to get the information updated. The check xray said clear, but it HAD to say TB NEGATIVE.
My sister just said at 7:37 my mom is calm and on a couch down the hall. Her sugar has gone down.
Your parent, spouse, needs to be PERFECT to come here and they need to be able to care for themselves. I am really shocked as I thought this would help my mom with therapy.
I am requesting Corporate to contact me asap as my mom doesn't have a bed or anything. It's at your location. Now, I have to hire movers again to move her out.
I would NEVER recommend this location. They have an LVP and not a RN. They never told me that.
They had a lady down there at dinner with Pink her that was hollering and screaming all of a sudden and scared my sister as it was out of the blue.
They only show all the great reviews. Keep looking and researching.
