Situated in the Fort Worth Cultural District, our 120-acre campus is minutes from downtown and is surrounded by beautiful gardens, educational exhibits, gift shops, and a café. The Fort Worth Botanic Garden opened in 1934 and is Texas' oldest major botanic garden. The collection includes 2,500 species of native and exotic plants. The FWBG rose, Japanese, and perennial gardens have long been beloved. There are 23 specialty gardens, including a tropical conservatory and a forest boardwalk. Stroll through the Japanese Garden and take in the koi-filled pools, slopes and created stonework, and the dramatic waterfalls. The Rose Garden, which features a center waterfall bordered by a ramp with beds of colorful roses, is about to come to an end.
