My appointment with Dr. Matthew Steele turned into a nightmare. At first he wS personable and knowledgeable. Then, he attacked me about a review. He ranted that I was taking food out of his family’s mouth. He went too far with that analysis. He was screaming and hollowing right in my face over a review. He has a number of bad reviews. His behavior was unprofessional and off the chart. Wow! It was very sad to see him have a melt down in public. Behavior like this makes all of us feel not safe. It was unbelievable to see this action from him. It was frightening. He needs to learn that the image of a business starts before someone sees him. I am retired and wanted to better my appearance. Going to his office obviously wasn’t the answer. I still deserved to be treated with respect. My review is how I felt because of how some of his staff made me feel. He came in during my facial and literally attacked me about the review I left. I told him I left the review. I told him I have no reason to lie. He was not interested in why. He was very loud, angry and determined to start a fight with me. If he was interested in why my review said what it said I would have provided him with feedback. He is very temperamental and I felt like he was trying to bully me. I told him that. Using a defense mechanism that I learned, I told him I wasn’t afraid of him. I actually was. His eyes were red like fire. When I realized his tone and demeanor wasn’t changing I told him I was done and was leaving. My fear was that he would try and attack me further. Most sites 1 star is wonderful. Through him I learned it’s not. However, what he took me through in his office was demeaning, degrading and quite frankly astonishing. If I was another race he wouldn’t have behaved like that. Or perhaps that’s how he is. Things were so tense and ugly to the point I was prepared to lose my consultation fee. He made sure I got it back. People we have to not only say we are adults in theory, but we have to practice this action daily. We can not let men treat us any kind of way. He was wrong and I told him it’s always a better way to handle things if you want to continue to grow.
