By helping students learn commitment, kindness, and hard work, the school can build a strong foundation for life and dance. Students may also study contemporary dance, music, improvisation, and variations. Our School Children's program includes Joy of Dance for four-year-olds followed by Pre-Ballet and Primary Classes. Around the age of 9, students can enroll in the Pre-Professional Program, which groups them into classes based on their ability rather than their age. Adult students may also attend beginner to advanced lessons at the school. Bayou City Ballet School also combines dance with science using body conditioning exercises in the pre-professional class. This made the effectiveness of the classes to be seen instantly through higher skills of dance and some appreciation of prevention of injuries research. One student had problems with balance and posture, but it was quickly rectified by Alex. I can still take adult classes and recommended without reservation to parents with children in the 5-7 bounce range. The students of the school even in different levels of training seemed to be focused and course work in a fun and playful environment. The teachers are also friendly and take a personal interest in each student. I always enjoy taking my child and self to this school without feeling a burden of dance classes. This is because of the assurance I get from the school that my child participates in a regulated environment.
