About this business

To enhance success for students and safe time and money for schools, Region 4 Education Service Center (Region 4) of Harris County, Texas was established by the Texas Legislature in 1967. Intermediate education units and regional education service centers like Region 4 are non-regulatory and are not agencies for regulation. However, each school district in Texas has the opportunity under Chapter 8 of the Texas Education Code to participate in a regional education center if it elects to do so. The Region 4 geographic region involves seven counties, 47 school districts, and 40 charter schools. It serves more than 1.2million students, 105,000 teachers, and 1,500 campuses. Our offerings reflect our fundamental goal of Excellence in Service for Children, including ancillary and instruction services. Our goal is to help educators solve instructional issues, create and maintain sustainable infrastructures, and assist school leaders in their efforts to provide the best possible education to each individual.
