Music Art and Outreach St. Andrew's School of Fine Arts (St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church) is an outreach program. We offer music and art instruction after school for children aged 0-9 for free. We have two delivery models: private lessons and group classes. Teachers with advanced training and degrees in voice, guitar, piano, and violin provide a very unique educational setting. Musikgarten, one of the highest-rated early childhood music programs for young musicians, is also available. Adult classes are available for those who want to learn to be musicians and have a desire for that. Unique summer camps combining music, dance, and drama are available for students registered in fall, spring, or summer semesters. SOFA students come from both the Houston and surrounding areas. Families who can show financial need should apply for scholarships. As a fundraising event, the SOFA faculty present two family-friendly concerts a year. The concert aims to help students in financial need. St. Andrew's believes in providing quality arts instruction without financial hindrances.

Feedback on SOFA has been overwhelmingly positive, with an emphasis on the school's adaptive nature when it went virtual in Spring 2020. They laud this because it has been a crucial outlet during times of uncertainty for families and children, while keeping high standards of musical training. There is a general consensus about the quality and warmth of the teaching staff. In addition, the school offers a range of programs, including group lessons and camps, all of which meet different ages, skill levels and interests of the students. The Musikgarten group stood out, particularly for introducing children to a variety of musical instruments and producing a family-friendly environment. The supportive atmosphere and the background role of familiar tunes during these lessons make it a popular way to introduce little ones to music. Parents further commend the school’s welcoming aura, reflecting the diverse student body. This diversity offers a way to appreciate music and culture across various backgrounds without risking isolation. The school's welcoming atmosphere and the positive, talented teachers make it a safe space for both novice and seasoned musicians to train and grow. Reviewers repeatedly encourage the school for families with youthful musicians eager to learn and grow.
