Williams Brothers Construction, a Houston, Texas company founded in 1955 by J.K. Williams, Williams, J.D. (Doug) Pitcock, Jr., and Dwight D. Eisenhower signed Interstate Highway Act into law. In 1964 and 1984, Doug Pitcock owned the shares after the acquisition of Williams brothers. The company was transformed into an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) in 1998. All projects were done using an open and competitive bidding process, with 95% done for the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). Over 350 projects worth more than $12 billion have been completed.
