ABOUT   Services Excellence Summary

Hepworth & Associates is a Utah-based law firm that offers various services across its four law office locations in the region. The company provides expert legal assistance in car accident law and personal injury. Additional service offerings include criminal defense, divorce, child custody, property law, estate planning, and much more. You could find yourself engaged in probate courts in several ways. For instance, you might be appointed as the individual to supervise and conclude the business of a recently deceased parent or relative. Or perhaps, you are arguing about how your loved one's properties have been handled. It might also happen that you just lost a parent or grandparent, and that individual does not have a Will. If you find yourself in this predicament, give us a call. We can help you establish a personalized estate plan. Fiduciaries have an essential role in the probate process. Fiduciaries are individuals entrusted with a responsibility and given the power to achieve it. This function is consistent whether the deceased appointed his or her fiduciaries in a proper Will or if the probate court appointed them in an intestate matter. Fiduciaries can be classified into specific forms. The Personal Representative, the Administrator, and the Guardian are responsible to handle the deceased's estate. The Guardian also assumes the responsibility to handle the minor children. Conservators are responsible for managing another's estate or finances if that individual is unable to do so. Ultimately, these fiduciaries are accountable to the probate courts for the fulfillment of these and other duties.

This firm is AWFUL! They didn't even file things when I did all the work and had it ready for them and sent it and told them the due dates. Then right before court, after not filing anything for it, they quit. I did a consultation. I was very clear about what was going on and what I needed. I'd acted as my own attorney for months. I even have the emails where I told him I needed a bulldog, and was told they would "zealously" represent me. I sent him a transcript the court requested with info but it never got filed, and I got in trouble for it, even though I'd done everything right. I was told about different court dates - but was given wrong information. (If they really believed court was coming up they would have filed evidence and called witnesses.) However, the Friday before two expected Monday hearings the attorney quit. No joke. Just quit. I have clear evidence someone assaulted my son - they admitted to it - and they didn't present anything. They didn't even bill me until 2 months in - and while it was for less than $1000 they claimed they'd already spent over $5000. They said they couldn't do as I requested. Except that's what the $200 consultation was for. Not filing the transcript of the court hearing as the court ordered, not preparing witnesses or filing documents - then quitting while charging me. This was them defending me "zealously". I did the work - prepared the transcript - and they still couldn't get it right. At the end of the day it felt like a scam.
