ABOUT Services Excellence Summary

Jeff Buttolph and Natalie Irvin established Shooters Archery in 2014. Jeff bow hunted with a passion. He knew that making an accurate bow required precision tuning, and stringing, and arrow-building. We were a home-based business for the first three years. As demand increased, we outgrew manufacturing and servicing our bows in Jeff's garage. Our communications to our customers were delayed, and it overwhelmed Jeff in addition to the manufacturing process. This move to a fixed location was necessary, and it has paid off. In 2017, with the help of our families, we placed a bid on a vacant hardware store that had been abandoned and in need of repairs for five years. We saw something that others didn’t and were able to secure the bid. That was the easy part. The work was intense, but with the help of friends who volunteered, we reopened in just 3.5 months. Our friends and family are the only reason we were able to open the doors on time. Every year came in with new challenges. These challenges taught us a lot and allowed us to develop into a successful business. We expanded into black powder after five years and opened the Fewkes and Optic store. We reached the conclusion that for the growth of the company and forthcoming opportunities, we were required to consolidate our brand into one entity in 2022. The company that encompasses everything we do is now Central Virginia Outdoors.
