SPARC - Youth Performing Arts

SPARC's community youth program is an essential service for every young person. We are committed to changing the lives of all Richmond youth through culturally sensitive and high-quality arts education. We aim to improve the sector's quality programmes. We intend to use these efforts to expand our network and partnerships and to reach a larger and more diverse student population. We also plan to keep evaluating and improving our work to make sure all students are included. Certain young people experience more social inequality and obstacles to participation in their communities. These barriers are faced by students with disabilities, LGBTQ+ youth, people of color, newcomers, low-income youth, and other underserved groups. SPARC can expand the above efforts because our arts education innovation record shows how it could be transformed in our communities. SPARC's innovative approach to arts education will help Richmond deal with its inequities and social prejudices.
