Interlake Child Care offers full- and part-time care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, and has been a part of the community since 1982. As an Early Achievers member, we are dedicated to raising the quality of education for young children in Washington State. Our center is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Our Board of Directors is democratically elected and can be voted on by current family members and graduates. We use every dime that we receive and raise to help children become responsible, creative, and compassionate people. Our Philosophy Interlake Child Care & Learning Center is a community that includes families and young children. We provide a loving and supportive environment in which young children can discover the world, take risks, and use their abilities to become confident, competent, and compassionate citizens. The curriculum guides children in their explorations and urges them to develop their creativity, social skills, and individuality. Our staff and parents and other community members work together to create a warm and inclusive environment. Early childhood education is best when children can explore the world at their own pace. Interlake believes that this is the key to success. The teaching team thoughtfully plans the learning environment and the curriculum, and the children's interests and needs guide their implementation. This philosophy helps children reach their goals, expand their worldviews, and increase their sense of accomplishment. During their time at Interlake, the children direct the learning process, while their teachers offer support and guidance.
