Seattle’s Progressive Preschool (SPP) promotes diversity and environmental learning through an anti-bias curriculum, multisensory experiences, and social awareness. It also aims to reduce inequality and instill in children a notion of social justice and environmental responsibility consistent with modern research. We help ensure that children can succeed in school and become sensitive, engaged people who believe that all humans deserve more and that the world can be a better place for everyone (Seattle’s Progressive Preschool, n.d.) SPP has a multicultural class that emphasizes justice. We have intentionally reserved places for learners with limited financial resources and go to great lengths to make the most of them. Our corporation is organized to change systems, and we are devoted to cultural competence and anti-bias education. Our community is inclusive; whether a kid has one, two, or kinship parents or guardians, our curriculum is available to everyone. No discriminations allowed. All of our decisions, including our purchasing practices and our alignment with local transport and service activities, are based on this sense of right and wrong (Seattle’s Progressive Preschool, n.d.) Urban agriculture and its benefits to society, the environment, and the market have been strategically associated with andane by a p-patch alliance, which includes educational tours of urban agriculture, gardening, maintenance, and compost generation for the garden, as well as culturally and economically important foods and plants. Urban agriculture will continue to be prioritized in the school curriculum as communities develop alongside the garden (Seattle’s Progressive Preschool, n.d.) Young kids understand the concept of justly remarkably well. They notice when things are unjust, regardless of whether other people are present, when they have something that another person lacks, and when they are treated unfairly or harshly. Young children recognize when something is unfair, and SPP's curriculum builds on that native sense of fairness from a very young age.
