For over 20 years, SkB Architects has designed and engineered environments that are relevant and memorable. From corporate clients to individuals, retailers, developers, and cultural communities, our team creates spaces that are both human-centric and sensory-rich. Our Seattle-based architecture and design firm was founded by Shannon Gaffney (Kyle Gaffney) and Brian Collins-Friedrichs in 1999. Our fifty-person staff is currently on a mess of projects across the planet, each impacting and informing the opposite. We believe spaces make a difference in the planet, and each project's history informs future challenges, which affects the aesthetics and logic of our designs. We see architecture as a form of art. and that we use architecture as a tool to learn. We aim to form a significant and lasting impact, so we rigorously strive to explore, implement, and improve upon existing ideas. We attempt to deliver sensory experiences with a 360-degree approach, including architecture, interiors, lighting design, and brand integration, that are unforgettable and engaging.
