Children are encouraged to make choices, take risks, and develop self-esteem and values by manipulating their environment and taking appropriate steps. Woodland Hall Preschool accepts children from 2-5 years old. The program has three classroom levels: the Forest room, which is designed for toddlers who are three years old. The Forest room is designed for children who are 3-4 years old and the Forest room is made for young preschoolers who are 4-5 years old. The Center also offers full-time and part-time jobs. Employees who work at least 30 hours a week are eligible for priority enrollment. Employees must pick a schedule upon enrollment. Parents may contact the Director to see if they can change their days. A half day option is not available. The preschool offers a personalized learning curricula that focuses on the premise that a child's intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development are all intertwined. Our curriculum strives to teach children attitudes, skills, and habits that will help them become active thinkers and lifelong learners. We follow Washington State Early Learning and Development Guidelines for children from birth to kindergarten. We monitor the development of children electronically. Parents may access this information during official conferences at any time.
