Alexa Peden Massage & Bodywork offers expert and compassionate massage therapy in Tacoma and on a mobile basis, at your home. I have found a sense of purpose and community in the massage and bodywork community. Good, professional massages taught me that I and everyone around me deserve attention. I struggled with trauma and an eating disorder in my early 20s. My relationships with my body, friends, and family suffered. This level of affection was not in my life or understanding of my experience. I felt tangles and now I feel tight, expansive. My nervous system recognizes me as the ally. In the first four years of my career, I worked in a range of settings, from spas to small businesses. I also teach massage and am a part-time instructor at the Discoverypoint School of Massage. My activities include gardening, music, and dance, weightlifting and running, hiking, climbing, and reading. I also draw, practice Spanish, watch horror movies, and cook and bake.
