The new hospital setting has details changed but commendable and life-saving team work. The turning point came with caring, warm, considerate, kind, loving and professional staff. A number of reviewers have pets that were handled with befitting care at the hospital including the last moments of life. There is great chemistry among the staff, and the services have been timely and their aftercare procedures have been effective. Animals with cancer and those in distress have had commendable handling. Many clients have pets in worse cases and have had great comfort from the experience. In some cases, the hospital has stepped in where other vets are unavailable, and priorities have been accorded to the pets leading to happy stories. This has been my first time to this particular emergency veterinarian and God willing my last time. Almost 5 hours sitting here, with really nothing done. I'm not going to go in details, it would be wasting your time! I rather take sharp pencils and stab myself in the eyes before I come back here again
This hospital provided emergency care for our dog, requiring a $5000.00 deposit. The deposit was made and her care totaled $1600.00. This hospital is refusing to return to remaining amount and we will be seeking legal action. Our dog was discharged on January 20th. It’s is March 14th, and almost daily, their offices lie or make excuses for the reason we have not been refunded for the overpayment. It is inexcusable. This occurred with the Fox Valley office and I can’t recommend their services. This is theft.
Our cat left in worse shape than when he arrived. There was obviously no initial hands on check up. The animal was wisked away from its us, not to be seen again for hours. Xrays and bloodwork showed nothing unusual. They completely missed the infecton in his foot. Five hours later and $1000 poorer we took our cat home. His illness became apparent when his paw doubled in size from a wound. The expensive antibiaotics they administed obviously did nothing. The infection then got to the site where he was needle sedated. It absessed. Take your pet to Blue Pearl if you want to be diregarded and your pet killed for $$$. I had to give one star to post this but there should be negative stars.
Service and care were awful!! Traumatic for both the dog and the family!! My friends dog had a weekend emergency where her dogs third eyelid was almost torn off. They called ahead of time to confirm they could be helped and were told to bring the dog in. After taking the dog back, they were made to wait for hours before they were advised that they weren’t able to do surgery for almost a week as they didn’t have a surgeon available until then. This delayed treatment for the dog and wasted precious time. They only provided a cone when the dog was sent home. No cleaning and bandaging of the eye. Nothing to make her comfortable.
I had to let my 22 yr old cat go peacefully tonight. I WANT Blue Pearl know she was more that just a cat to me she was my family, my life. You really need to show more empathy,& compassion. I had the misfortune of getting a very cold uncaring vet, who acted like it was an inconvenience to talk to me & acted like she was in a huge rush to get out of the room. I really really hope you treated my girls body with respect & care, because you sure as hell didn't act like it. I left a angel to be put with my & you acted like it was a chore to carry it with her body, I have spent thousands at this place the very least you can do is ACT like you CARED.

Only con I had with my 1st experience...wait time...LONG....also without my pet by me, I was stressed. Although this was negated with good communication from front staff and technicians. My kitty was seriously ill, but not immediate critical. Staff communicated well that they had another pet that was not as stable and they had to see to that pets needs 1st...which I 100% understand and if my kitty was worse, I'd expect the same for my pet. I was exceptionally nervous as my kitty hadn't been out of the house much and was a major chicken around people he didn't know. The staff was so good with him that he remained cooperative and fairly calm, even for his blood draw....only exception for the temperature part...no way he was allowing anything put in his butt...lol. He was even comfortable enough to be carried around by them without restraint and even gave a few "what's up, pet me" meows to the dr. When speaking both with the dr and technicians, I asked many questions when discussing options and I have veterinary knowledge...so my questions were probably not the norm or just complacent...which they did not react or find offensive or intimidating (some dr's don't like it if you actually know what your talking about instead of just taking their word as is). Although my kitty's diagnosis wasn't great, they did what was necessary without going overboard to find it, and got me set up to start the process to getting his condition managed until he can recheck with his regular vet. They also help with giving him meds and meds for home to help him be more comfortable until his condition hopefully starts to improve and he can get in to his regular vet. In my opinion, they did their job. Now, if they could only have more emergency locations (I had to drive an hour to get there) to help with availability to get help for critically ill pets (some pets may not be able to make a long drive time) and less waiting times (more locations=less busy).
I feel so dissatisfied with the low level of response and lack of compassion they have. It seems like they just wanted my money! I took my dog to the emergency due to severe coughing. I had to wait for 4 hours. Dr. Justin Boggs checked my dog, and run several tests, and they said her heart and lungs were fine. We paid over $1000 and He prescribed her cough medicine. Also, he insinuated that she may need antibiotics but he never prescribed them. My dog continued coughing after 3 days, I called Blue Perl 3 times trying to get the prescription for antibiotics and they wanted me to take the dog back again. They said the doctor was not available. They advised me to take my dog to her primary doctor. It seems like doctors are not skilled enough to diagnose what was wrong, and the personnel don't care to amend their mistakes at all! It's so frustrating to hear my dog coughing all night! POOR EXPERIENCE!

A few years ago, I left a very bad review for what was then known as the fox valley emergency Hospital in Appleton. Just yesterday, I took my cat in for emergency care to the same building, but that is all that was the same as my last visit. The name has changed, and my experience there could not have been better. Every staff member that I came in contact with was genuine, kind, empathetic, patient and professional. The office is spotless and pleasant. I don’t know what happened, but I am just thrilled at the complete transformation . I am proud to have a hospital like this in the fox valley. Thank you to everyone at Blue Pearl Animal Hospital❤️
