Christian Cooperative Preschool is a family-run preschool that relies on its families to provide education and support for their children. Our families participate in all aspects of the school, from filling the gaps behind the scenes to taking learning home. Our community thrives on the collaboration between teachers, parents, and children.
Marilyn Howard has been our beloved teacher since 1998. The University of Kansas awarded her a Bachelor of Science in Education, and Kansas State University conferred upon her a Master of Talented and Gifted Education. Before joining CCP, she taught kindergarten, first grade, and gifted in the public schools. Mrs. Howard and her husband have two grown children (a son, a daughter, and a daughter-in-law) and two adult children (a son, a daughter, and a son-in-law). They also have three grandchildren, who continue to amaze Mrs. Howard with their creativity, imagination, and curiosity. A firm believer in the need for quality time for children to be creative, Ms. Howard knows that children learn through play and fun. Her safe, secure, loving environment encourages children to discover their own learning styles. Mrs. Howard was a preschool teacher for her daughter, who attended CCP for three years.
