Lake City Twisters Gymnastics

Lake City Twisters offers recreational gymnastics for beginners to experts (18 months-18 years). The Independent Classes start at 3 years old. This class is a safe, fun learning environment where your child will receive instruction and be guided in the preschool room and accompanied to our main gym to use the Trampoline & Pit. This class will help your athlete improve their coordination and strength, listening skills, class manners, and social skills at this age. The class will teach the basics of gymnastics and prepare your gymnast to progress to the “Little Lakesters” class for our younger kids. Your gymnast can mark skills every time they come to class. Skill testing is ongoing. The Skills Chart shows their progress and where they have left to improve. Your child will be eligible for advancement once they have earned a medal and a certificate.

Lake City Twisters has been a fantastic option for families, especially in 2020, with the positive and encouraging atmosphere that they provide. The coaches are a credit to the place. It motivates your gymnast to be the best they can. Kids and parents are supportive. Open gym is great. My daughter is a beginner competitive gymnast and she is coached by someone who pushes her but in a way it makes her want to always listen to her and keep her in her gymnastics. The members are very pleased with the atmosphere, usually positive and encouraging, and nephews really wanted to go back, seriously. The coaching staff is skilled at what they do, very eager to teach every gymnast valuable lessons and motivate them to be the best they can be. Gymnasts and their parents are really supportive and willing to help instruct newcomers. Open gym is also amazing and good for either fun or extra practice. My daughter trained during 2020 and the pandemic and she improved a lot and felt normal and happy as I left her there since the girls were brought into the gym safely because of the precautions the gym was following. My daughter started the beginner team in 2019 and that year my daughter found a nice side aerial which is an impressive move that goes across a beam. My daughter had many options for gymnastics because she is a little advanced for her age group and the coaches did not argue with some of the moves my daughter mastered because they knew it was best for my daughter. Recently she tried out and went to the excel bronze team. I love this gym as an option for the other kids because of the great conditioning and stretching . I believe that the people who sound would find this gym fun and convenient to their situation and this would be a great option for their kids.
