YWCA Madison's Empowerment Centre is located at 2040 S. Park Street. They offer assistance to people seeking employment or new careers and also train them for enhancing skills required to advance. Staff members can help you write or update your resume and cover letters, complete job applications, search for new job leads, and much more. Wisconsin state law allows individuals to carry weapons within public places including public vehicles, but YWCA Madison strictly prohibits firearms and other weapons in its buildings. This restriction is clearly communicated through signs displayed at each entrance to all YWCA Madison buildings and vehicles, stating: No weapons and firearms within this building.
