She also received the Faces of Hope by the Wisconsin African American Women's Center at their 17th Annual Hats Luncheon in 2013. MBSD provides a community-based, urban line dance program. The group also offers individual lessons, corporate workshops/demonstrations, and private events. In community events, festivals, parties, and celebrations, MBSD performs line dances to get the message out about the many benefits of line dancing to overall health. Nzinga Khalid established Mind, Body & Soul Dancers in August of 2010. Mind, Body & Soul Dancers is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization. People with civic-minded values, who support a similar cause, believe in and are committed to the mission, operate the group. MBSD seeks to help youth and adults express their negative emotions in a good way using urban line dance measures. Line dancing for all ages to make healthier food choices and have fun exercising, as well as use line dancing to relieve stress, is also a priority.
