Client Testimonials: This all started with a call from an acquaintance of my unwell brother to go to the hospital. He had an accident that needed an extended period of treatment and rehabilitation, and my wife and I were not there then. The acquaintance was given Power of Attorney, guardianship, and is the executor of his will without the immediate NOK, carer, and emergency contact being informed. My brother had Parkinson’s disease and his ability to make questionable decisions was widely reported. The legal business is now operated by the lawyers' daughter with the same assistant. This has been forwarded to the OLSC. In a case where a friend passed through the same and where you need assistance in such cases, there is no one better than Dakin Law. They managed this very complicated issue that will have been impossible for me to handle on my own. Fantastic. For something I found difficult, Emma really took the time and patience to step me through my will. Cannot recommend Emma enough, great attention to detail, honest and to the point. I dealt with Dakin Law as a beneficiary. Initial contact went well, until I received a phone call about a week later telling me of the same thing, turns out they thought I was another beneficiary. I luckily caught on before they said an amount and mentioned confidential information. They requested my bank details, so I sent them back via email. No reply or confirmation of receiving them, so I chased it up myself to confirm. Received a notice at 6 months saying payment will be made by Early August, however, this didn't happen and when I asked for an update, one was not given other than it should be soon when I asked. Then I was called to confirm my bank details over the phone, which I did and was told the payment would be made by the end of that week. 10 days later I had not heard from them at all so I followed up again. I was told my bank details were wrong and that they had called me multiple times on August 30 and left voicemails. However, these claims were untrue, so I sent a screen shot of my call log to Dakin. They did not reply. I had to confirm my details over the phone again, which were the same as what they had, so it was obviously an error on their end when they were typing. This was all 10 days after the phone call saying it would be in by the end of the week. No emails were sent after "failing to reach me by phone". If I had not reached out, how long would they have let this ride? Good thing I did as they did not even try to email me, so I could have been waiting until now. A possible thought is perhaps they had me confused with another beneficiary again when they "called". Received the funds and the beneficiary receipt form was wrong with my name. As this is a legal document, I requested a new one be created and sent through. They told me to amend myself by hand. Other than the initial contact, every step has had errors, lies, or miscommunication (or nothing at all!). These are things you would not want to experience when dealing with wills. So if you are making your will, please go elsewhere to save your beneficiaries the trouble. All in all, I won't be recommending Dakin Law to anyone. They clearly lack attention to detail and professionalism. Really helpful, No bull just honest and to the point, you cannot get any better than that. In 10 years I have never had a better result. Can not recommend these guys strongly enough. Sue is very rude and hard to deal with. Thanks to Sue & her team for the support shown to myself & my family during our case.
