The legal aid lawyer overwhelmed the client, leading to an unsatisfactory outcome, increased risks for the children, and an unavoidable and diminished financial award. The client was also shocked when the firm charged an enormous amount of money, about twice the cost estimate, even before the formal hearing. The company also failed to provide the promised barristers, despite charging extra. The client was also dismayed by lost communications with the firm after hearings. Clients should be able to discuss their concerns. However, this client's feedback may not give the company the credit they deserve.
