While she did say I was “welcome to seek a second opinion,” her lack of support and empathy left me feeling disheartened. Fortunately, I sought that second opinion, and under the guidance of a much more competent and compassionate lawyer, I achieved a very favourable result. I would not recommend April to anyone seeking a lawyer who will take the time to understand their situation and provide thoughtful, supportive advice. Especially not a situation that requires higher degrees of sensitivity, understanding, and nuances around the complexities of the case such as what was required in my case.
