Feedback Summary: 1. Unfortunately, I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from BD Legal. There was a clear oversight in the contract adjustments during the sale of my business. I have only just noticed it over the year after, and it is a personal financial cost that I am expected to cover. I trusted their expertise to ensure that all employee entitlements were captured, and that financial adjustments were taken care of before settlement. It is resulting in a lot of financial and emotional stress. I can’t help but feel that I would have been better protected by a thorough review at the time. It has taken over a year to come to light, and never in my wildest dreams did I think a law firm would oversee such a big error. This was not a matter of oversight; it was a matter of misrepresentation. I went to a legal professional to avoid this exact situation, and had I been a more experienced buyer/seller, it would have been clear as day. I would insist that others ensure every detail is double-checked as this has been far from what I would expect from a legal outfit that I trusted with the transaction. 2. We recently sold our Security business. Brayden O’Connor handled the sale, following our instructions and making the process stress-free. Very happy with the service and would recommend it to others. 3. Jen was a godsend when my husband and I were purchasing our first home—and dealing with our insane buyer’s agent. She was patient with me, being a first-time homebuyer and battling an idiot. She was an aggressive advocate for us after being railroaded by the buyer’s agent. I would not buy a house without her. Industry-specific: Jen, the way she played 4D chess, was a godsend in purchasing our first house. My husband and I got majorly railroaded by our buyer’s agent who was trying to play both sides of the fence. Jen was super patient with me as a first-time homebuyer and was aggressively advocating for us behind the scenes. I would certainly not buy a house without her sage advice.
