About Ella Michel | Weddings & Portraits Ella Michel is from Fernie, BC, and the Alberta foothills. She started photographing local weddings at 14. From 2014 to 2018, she worked on hundreds of family photo sessions, and she won many awards for it. She began photographing natural light engagements and weddings in Halifax and on Vancouver Island. She spent the summer of 2019 fighting forest fires in Northern Alberta. She missed the aesthetics of photography and opened a photography studio in 2020. Ella was working full-time as a wedding and portrait photographer when the COVID-19 pandemic struck.
