The Canadian Red Cross has announced the discontinuation of its lifeguard and learn-to-swim programs in order to focus on more pressing humanitarian needs, such as opioid harm reduction, disaster and pandemic response, and senior caregiving. In the Adult Swimmer program, participants will be able to set their own water confidence improvement and recognizable strokes goals. Divers can practice a variety of deep-water entry techniques, such as rolls, dives, and tuck jumps. They will also strive to build strength and endurance by treading water for at least 1-2 minutes. Participants will learn new skills such as front somersaults and handstands that will significantly improve their techniques and help them better exploit their aquatics movements. Swimmers can reach the Swim To Survive standard by swimming 50m, rolling in deep water, and treading water for 1 minute. Swimmers will also learn the Breaststroke to improve their swimming techniques.

Reviews of the aquatic center are generally positive. Although many appreciate the cleanliness, the large staff who are friendly and courteous, the existence of a non-threatening atmosphere for beginners. Some facilities include a large pool, gym, sauna, steam room, and "aquacizing", and more fantastic features such as large swimming areas, good temperature, cleanliness, and friendly staff. However, opening hours selected can be inconvenient for some users. The gym is huge and has modern stuff, and the gym is well-ventilated, spacious, and staff are regularly cleaned and sanitised.
