Alena is the proprietor of Eye Candy Lash Extensions and the two salons located in St.Albert and Windermere. She is a committed mom and animal lover, and she appreciates everything about lashes and brows. Alena is the owner, boss, therapist, and nurse behind the salon. Eye Candy Lash Extensions was established in 2014 by two Albertans from different walks of life. Alena met Jessy when they worked as EMTs (emergency medical technicians) in Edmonton Metro. They hit it off quickly, and they soon discovered a fascinating new service: eyelash extensions. They became addicted immediately! They enrolled in a lash class together in 2009, and their lives changed. Their friends wanted to see them for lashes. They both loved lashes so much that, when they had kids, they were constantly exhausted and trying to work around the clock, or they were in unpleasant weather in less than 15 minutes! EMS workers have decided to stick to their passion and run away from the rain by moving inside and saying goodbye to the storms. After a few years, they were looking for great energy and a new community where their children could grow, learn, and play. Jessy and her family moved to the USA to begin a new adventure. The separation was heartbreaking for the women. One had to start over and say goodbye to her old life, while the other had to become a single mom and leave behind the friends and community she had grown to love. Even though it was more challenging for Jessy, it was a difficult time for each lady in her own way. Due to the geographical separation, they had to end their partnership, but they kept the bond forever. Eye Candy holds Jessy close to their heart, and they have many of the same qualities as she does.
