Good Samaritan Society (GSS) and Good Samaritan Canada (GSC), two faith-based, registered charitable organizations, provide seniors in their communities with excellent accommodations and health services. Our track record of operational excellence, over 70 years of combined experience in successful high quality community and health care services in innovative and supportive settings, ensures that we are the family and individual clients' preferred provider (Good Samaritan Society, 2020). The Christian Hospitality objective is to provide Christian hospitality to anyone in distress or need, thereby improving the well-being of the whole person. This model attempts to provide spiritual care to all faiths. This is the Society's Christian Hospitality Model, wherein Pastoral-Spiritual care includes Chaplains, who are spiritual care facilitators or providers. The church welcomes and trains volunteers, largely from the congregation, as pastoral care visitors. We also offer training for staff, including enhanced training for staff involved in spirituality and spiritual care, so that everyone can meet clients and residents' spiritual needs when the Chaplain is unavailable (Good Samaritan Society, 2020).
