Student Legal Services Of Edmonton (Corona Location)

In the summer of 1969, a group of fourteen University of Alberta law students was motivated by student aid clinics in the United States and Canada to do their own. In four months, Student Legal Services managed over 100 cases that covered the spectrum from criminal to social welfare or tenancy. Since the summer of 1969, SLS has seen significant change, development, and historical relevance in Edmonton and beyond. Our organization has purchased a farm for the permanent parking of a schoolbus, which it had painted with psychedelic designs, and then made East Campus House its home.

Many clients highlighted how well these students adapt to the services delivery and lack of cash constraints, saying that the students go above and beyond in their efforts to make clients feel welcome and offering help. Several of the students who offered the clients assistance are highly praised, with other assertiveness and dedication are also embraced. Despite a few customers saying that finding the location is a bit of a problem, these students provide excellent services.
