Counsel and Representation Legal Aid BC was created under the Legal Services Society Act 1979 to provide legal advice and representation. While our main mission is to serve low-income people and their families, many of the services we offer can be obtained by everyone in British Columbia. We decide what services to offer to comply with the LSS Act mandates. We offer services at all provincial legal assistance locations. We Collaborate with Others Legal Aid BC is committed to reconciliation and greater indigenous legal aid service access. The Reconciliation Action Plan shows how we plan to move forward. Our commitment to many of our justice sector partners, sharing information, and improving access for the most vulnerable is crucial.
