Our founder acquired a reputation in Denmark as a leading merchant with "great offers" and has worked tirelessly to develop his business which now has 2800 store locations worldwide. LARJYSKikit Lars Larsen founded JYSK in 1979 in Aarhus, Denmark. Whether you are in a physical store, digital shop, or human resources department Lars Larsen, we are devoted to supporting you. Lars Larsen was brought up in Thy, a northwestern region in Denmark. Lars Larsen's start as an entrepreneur was actually a business he had – Lars Larsena radio – which was set up in a Thy village. Lars Larsen decided that he was going to have a small, chain-like shop for bedding. One of his basic aims was to provide fantastic offers to all clients. It hadn't even crossed Lars Larsen's mind that he might pursue an executed plan. Lars Larsen is encouraging and energetic and managed to persuade a bank and a few suppliers to accept his plan. Set-ups like JYSK always entail an unforeseeable and unsure outcome, so there was always a danger of failing (JYSK- About us, 1999).
