Everyone I spoke with was knowledgeable, customer oriented and answered all my questions or found out for me. The entire experience was very supportive and I will recommend them to everyone! Our furnace had some issues, requiring it to be shut off. We called and were able to get someone in to check it out on Monday. They diagnosed and ordered the parts they needed. Todd showed up to do the repair on Thursday and was very informative on what he was doing, what issues may arise (as our furnace is older) and what the options are if combustion analysis doesn’t go as planned. It was an overall great experience and will continue to recommend! James and Riley replaced our furnace. They did a great job, efficient and polite. We would highly recommend Kamloops Heating & Air Conditioning, James and Riley. We could not have been happier with the service from Kamloops Heating & Air Conditioning, and their technician Tom was so honest, knowledgeable and very pleasant! Incompetence at every level of this business. Shaun, the technician, that came out to do a service estimate was very friendly and seemed competent but it all ended there. Two different technicians (were they even qualified and certified workers?) came out to install a gas hot water tank (seemed friendly) but they obviously didn't do a bubble leak test because they left our building with not one but TWO gas leaks on the install they just did. Dispatch was informed of these leaks by 2.30pm the next day and she claimed that workers could not come out until the next morning - LEAVING A GAS LEAK IN A PUBLIC BUILDING OVERNIGHT. The next morning, 4 (different) technicians arrived AN HOUR LATER THAN BOOKED (they sent 2 technicians the first time - why send 4 now?) and of course none of them knew why the other workers from their business had left a leak and could not answer any questions. Interestingly enough, when I asked the "speaking" technician why someone couldn't come out the day the leak was discovered, he said, "Oh, that's weird. I came through town at 5.30pm last night and I could have come out to fix it had I known" - so obviously our 2 gas leaks which they had left in a public building were not important enough for the dispatcher to attempt to solve the same day. We hired a different company the next day for a different problem and when asked about the work done by Kamloops Heating and Air Conditioning to solve their caused leak he said, "The work is technically to code but workmanship not great. There is nothing anyone can do to get people to do nice work. It's all about getting done and billed in as little time as possible." So, it seems the MO of this company is to send out a friendly and competent guy to do quotes but not bother training anyone else in quality, craftsmanship or service. Had our air conditioning unit replaced and was done by James, Jeremy and Riley. They were professional, polite and got the job done in a timely manner. Would definitely recommend and use them in the future. Thanks guys! March 2024 I requested a quote for a new construction, Dave provided a solid quote and was working with me in the planning phases. We were on schedule and ready for HVAC installation in July / August. Dave stopped responding to messages / calls. The office did not return calls. After 3 weeks I realized they were not showing up and had to scramble to find an alternative company. They didn't even have the decency to message me that they were now refusing the job. Cost me 6 weeks in delays and thousands of dollars. Extremely disappointing, clearly zero integrity in this business.
