Mickey McDougall Community Recreation Centre

In 1970, the North Vancouver Recreation & Culture Commission (City of North Vancouver) was created as a partnership between the District and City of North Vancouver. One of Canada's most vibrant and active communities has been served by us. We understand recreation and culture are essential to our communities' overall well-being, creativity, and health. We work to offer high quality programs and services in recreation and culture, which enhance North Vancouver residents' quality of life. Mickey McDougall Community Recreation Centre (formerly Inter River Park Playground) is one of 11 Community Recreation Centres, including the North Vancouver Tennis Centre, Centennial Theatre, and Centennial Theatre (the largest performing arts theater on the North Shore since 1999). We also handle venue and room bookings in North Vancouver for fields, outdoor spaces, and facilities. We offer a wide variety of resources and activities to bring our vision to fruition. This includes the provision of cultural services promoting creativity and celebrating diversity. Also, we contribute to North Vancouver's unique sense-of-place by providing our residents with an extensive Arts & Culture Grants Program, Cultural Planning Resources, and a Public Art program. Our gyms are capable of hosting sports groups, tournaments, and other special occasions. We have six gyms available to rent, regardless of the sport or need. The details for Hi-Leland Gym are: Prices start at $50.44/hour, which depends on the size of the gym you require and time. There is also a possibility for a youth group rate, which will be cheaper. All gym rentals include nets, but no other equipment is included.
