LeapFrog Gymnastics started as Kerrigan Gymnastics Academy in 2007 with its founders being Sara Kerrigan and Rory Kerrigan. The duo were former high-level athletes and thus began the effort by training elite athletes. Their love for gymnastics saw them become National, Provincial, Western, and National-level national level athletes. Their son, Maximus, was born in 2008 and became a fantastic example of what young children should undertake to promote their physical growth, test their bodies and see what potential they have. The company operated in the family's favor since they had their family to care for their son. However, it became clear that many families could not provide a place for their children while at work. Therefore the two decided to open a childcare center at Kerrigan Gymnastics. Kerrigan Children's Active Learning Center was established, and Ronin, their son, was born at this time. As parents, juggling school for the sons, other activities, and running a childcare business was challenging. They also traveled widely for their competitive endeavors. The family needed a paradigm shift. The two were reminded by their boys how incredible gymnastics can be for children. It was beautiful to see them hold the bars, trust themselves, and raise their feet off the ground. The smiles and confidence they exuded were a great spectacle. It was a different view to watch the kids balance themselves with their hands and walk up the beam without falling. The experience was entirely different from what happened outside the gymnasium.

The reviews for the gym Leap Frog stress that it is a place where the kids love the coaches and the environment. The feedback commentary about the exceptional Tadpole class is mainly positive. This course is an introduction to young children. Even more experienced coaches recommend it. Children grow in leaps and bounds both physically and in confidence. There is unanimous agreement that the safe environment is perfect for children of all ages. The upgraded facility helped attract children to the clubs. This was a deliberate move that the company made. It made parents feel welcome in a period of uncertainty. The training philosophy of promoting fun over competition is praised by parents. We recommend the gym to other children.
