Eastside Atelier Art Studio (Formerly William Clark) Eastside Arts Society (formerly William Clark) has been producing the Eastside Culture Crawl Visual Arts, Design & Craft Festival every November for the past 27 years. Artists in Vancouver's Eastside are invited to open their studios, which range from Columbia St. to the area of 2nd Ave., Victoria Dr., and Waterfront. They include painters, jewellery makers, sculptors, and furniture designers, as well as weavers and potters. Printmakers, photographers, and glassblowers are also invited. The Eastside Open Artist Studio event will include workshops, artist demonstrations, exhibits, and talks to increase understanding of and appreciation for the diverse visual arts practices that are practiced in our city. This fun and accessible event is suitable for both art enthusiasts and new visitors. Eastside Arts Society is a registered charitable organization that produces and develops some of Vancouver’s most innovative visual arts programming. The EAS, now in its 27th anniversary, is embarking upon a series of initiatives that will ensure Art Happens here, on Vancouver’s Eastside for many decades to come.

The reviews are largely positive with writers expressing a strong desire to spend time in an environment that is relaxing, peaceful and inspiring. This results in a growing number of people reaching out to the local artists, and creating a community that inspires the newcomers. The reviews also mention the high quality of the work on display, with a vast number of works seen in a single area usually set aside to display only a handful of pieces. So, the customers highly rate the establishment and even go so far as to encourage other people to subscribe to the mailing list for convenience. The company`s decision to work together and open their doors to the customers on the first Saturdays of every month also gets a positive mention. This has helped many people to enter a world of art at an ever lower price and be exposed to the beauty of their society without travelling far. To conclude, it is clear that the local community is eager to meet the artists to learn more about their struggles and work ethic. The experienced artists offer the new talent an opportunity to see how far they can go.
